It was fantastic. I was only in Sydney for 24 hrs. All of the hotel staff I encountered were lovely. I saved plenty of money staying here as opposed to Hilton Sydney. Quite reasonable. There was a refrigerator in the room. I did not understand why there were over 15 electric outlets in the room. Something I would never see in the US. I did have a brief panic attack at checkout. There is no staff on duty at 6am and i thought I was trapped in the building with no exit. I looked for emergency exits , phone number , anything but figured out the exit button after about five minutes. I would stay here again.

This is a small but very convenient hotel in the heart of Sydney. Chinatown is very close and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room may not be that big but it fits the bill considering its proximity to most of what Sydney has to offer. We even had a leisure walk to the harbor and Paddy's market is very close if you want quality and affordable souvenirs. Jandro, the manager was really nice and the whole staff were all friendly and helpful during our stay. Really recommend. And oh by the way, make sure you try their coffee- definitely a must!

After reading all reviews about this hotel, I really expected something exceptional. Was very disappointed with the actual product. The location of the hotel was very good - central to everything we wanted to do/see in Sydney. Tim at the front desk was great - gave good suggestions about places to eat. However, the room was bad. The tiny bedroom had a queen size bed that took up all the space. Since the bed was all the way to the wall, you had to crawl over it to get on it. The wallpaper in the bedroom was peeling in many places and there was definitely some mold on the ceiling (in the bathroom as well). A/C was making some low-screeching noise that was very unpleasant. Window was extremely dirty - not that there was anything to see there - just a gray wall and some a/c units.

Absolutely awful accommodation. Booked a room for 3 of us and the room was so small you couldn’t even open a suitcase up in it. Marks on the walls, dirt of the floors, urine marks in the showers. Showed all of this to the receptionist who said he couldn’t allow us to switch rooms. Ended up not staying at the hotel after how abysmal the room was. The previous reviews must be fake because I don’t know anyone that would think that was good service or value for money. Ended up paying less up the road at Novotel and much better service and cleanliness.

good customer service from Pear and Tim. Nice room and clean. very good. stay here with my colleage for a night and the staff super friendly and helpful. we can have early check in and store the bag after check out
